Partner Documentation

Everything you need to run GreerGuard as a reseller and manage your customers' experience.

Overview

The GreerGuard Partner Program lets you resell GreerGuardian, our premium Android security subscription, to your own customers at a price you set. You earn a commission on every active subscription, and your customers get world-class mobile threat protection managed through your branded experience.

As a partner you can:

  • Set your own monthly resell price (minimum $1.99/month)
  • Control exactly which features and UI elements your customers see
  • Permanently whitelist or flag apps for all of your customers
  • Request payouts at any time
  • Track subscriptions, earnings, and customer activity from your dashboard
  • Offer multiple subscription packages at different price points and seat counts
  • Customers on a Family Plan can protect up to 5 devices under a single subscription

Stats & Earnings

Active Subscriptions
Customers who currently have a paid, active Stripe subscription sold through your referral code.
Earnings This Month
Total commissions credited to your account in the current calendar month.
Available Balance
Accumulated earnings available to withdraw. Grows with every successful subscription renewal.

Subscription Breakdown

The breakdown panel shows how your customer base is spread across states:

  • Total Registered: all devices that have ever registered your referral code.
  • This Month: devices registered in the current calendar month.
  • Active Subs: paying customers right now.
  • Lapsed: subscriptions that were active but have since cancelled or expired.
  • No Sub: registered devices that never completed a subscription.

Global Device Configuration

Everything in the Global Device Configuration card is pushed to all of your customer devices automatically the next time the app comes to the foreground. No customer action required. You can also override any setting per device from the Your Clients section. A Reset to GreerGuard Defaults button in this card removes all custom partner configuration and reverts all devices to the GreerGuard baseline.

UI Controls

Hide Sensitivity Slider
Removes the alert leniency control entirely from the customer's app. Useful if you want a fixed, consistent experience for all customers.

Force Settings

Monitoring
User choice: customers control it themselves. Always ON: monitoring cannot be disabled by the customer. Always OFF: monitoring is disabled for all customers (e.g. during testing).
Alert Sensitivity
User choice: default. Lenient: only High Risk apps alert. Normal: Medium and High Risk. Strict: all risks including Low Risk installs.
Notification Alert Buttons
Choose which action buttons appear on threat alerts for your customers. Available buttons: Uninstall, Review, Trust, and Not Now. Not Now is always shown and cannot be removed. Uncheck any button to remove it from your customers' alerts. Leave all checked (the default) to let customers configure their own buttons. This setting overrides each customer's personal Alert Settings preference.
Interactive Demo - Alert Buttons

Toggle which action buttons appear on your customers' threat alerts. The phone preview updates live.

Not Now is always included. Customers can always dismiss an alert.
This overrides each customer's personal Alert Settings. Unchecked buttons are removed from alerts for all of your customers.

Security Tools Visibility

These toggles control which premium security tool screens are shown inside the customer's app. All are enabled by default. Check the box to hide a tool from your customers.

Security Health Check
Audits the device itself: screen lock, timeout, USB debugging, developer mode, storage encryption, and apps with install permissions. Each check links directly to the relevant Settings page.
Sideloaded Apps
Identifies apps installed from outside Google Play (APK files, F-Droid, etc.) and assigns each a risk score using GreerGuard's suspicion engine. Clean, Low, Medium, and High Risk labels help customers make informed decisions.
Notification Spam History
Shows how many days in the last 30 each app sent 9 or more notifications ("spam days"). Green = 1–4 days, amber = 5–14, red = 15+. Helps customers spot and silence persistent notification spammers.

Support Button

Custom Label & URL
Optionally rename the Support button (up to 20 characters) and set it to open your own support page or ticketing system instead of GreerGuard's default. Either field can be set independently: leave blank to keep the default label ("Support") or default destination.

Trust & Whitelist Behaviour

When a customer trusts an app it is removed from scan results. However, trust is not permanent: it is automatically revoked if the app's risk tier increases after a future update (e.g. Low Risk → Medium Risk, or Medium Risk → High Risk). The customer receives an alert explaining the app was re-flagged due to an update, and the app reappears in their next scan. This applies to both customer-level trust and your partner-level permanent whitelist entries.

Permanent Whitelist & Flagged Apps

Permanent Whitelist

Apps on the permanent whitelist are never flagged for any of your customers, regardless of GreerGuard's risk scoring. Use this for internal company apps, trusted tools you distribute, or any app you know to be safe that GreerGuard sometimes flags.

Add apps by their Android package name (e.g. com.example.app) and an optional display name. They take effect on the customer's next app open.

You can find an app's package name on its Google Play listing URL: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example.app

Flagged Apps

Flagged apps are always shown as potentially unwanted to your customers, even if GreerGuard would normally consider them safe. Include a reason so your customers understand why the app is flagged (e.g. "Conflicts with company policy" or "Incompatible with our MDM solution").

Payment Details & Withdrawals

Add your PayPal email in the Payment Details card. Payouts are sent to your PayPal account.

You can request a payout at any time. If PayPal auto-payout is enabled for your account, funds are sent to your PayPal immediately. Otherwise payouts are processed within 5 business days.

Payment details must be saved before you can submit a withdrawal request.

Your Clients

The Your Clients section of your dashboard lists every device that has registered your referral code. You can search, rename, and manage each device individually from this view.

Search

Type any part of a device alias, Device ID, or subscription status into the search bar to filter the list instantly. The search is client-side so results appear immediately without a page reload.

App Status

Each device row displays a live status badge showing whether the GreerGuard app is currently running on that device:

Active
App is open and running in the background
The device has checked in within the last 15 minutes. GreerGuard's background monitoring service is active on that device.
Offline
App is closed or not running
The device has not checked in for more than 15 minutes. The app may be closed, the device may be off, or the customer may have stopped the monitoring service.
Status is updated automatically while GreerGuard is running. New devices show Offline until the customer opens the app for the first time after registration.

Each row also shows the customer's subscription state:

  • Google Play: active subscription purchased through Google Play Billing
  • Subscribed: active subscription purchased through your checkout link (Stripe)
  • Cancelling: subscription is active but will not renew at the end of the current period
  • Lapsed: subscription ended and has not been renewed
  • No subscription: device registered but never completed a purchase

Rename Devices

Every device can be given a custom alias to help you identify it, for example by customer name, location, or device description. Click the rename button on any row, type the new alias, and save. The alias is visible only to you in your dashboard and is never shown to the customer. Aliases can be changed at any time.

Per-Device Configuration

Click Configure on any device row to open that device's individual configuration panel. Per-device settings override your global configuration for that specific device only. All other devices continue to use the global settings.

The per-device panel is pre-filled with the device's current effective configuration. Every option available in Global Device Configuration is also available per-device. Two reset buttons are provided:

Reset to Partner Defaults
Removes the per-device override and returns this device to your global partner configuration. Use this when a device no longer needs special treatment.
Reset to GreerGuard Defaults
Removes the per-device override and instructs this specific device to ignore all partner configuration entirely, as if no referral code were associated. Use this to give a single device a completely clean experience while keeping all other devices on your partner settings.
Per-device configuration takes effect on the device's next app open, exactly like global configuration. No action is required from the customer.

Purchase History

The Purchase History table below your client list shows every transaction associated with your referral code. Transactions are color-coded by source:

  • Commission: commissions earned from subscriptions purchased through your checkout link. Rate: 55% of net revenue.

A summary pill at the top of the table shows your total earned. Individual rows show the device, amount, and date for each transaction.

Google Play subscribers appear in your client list as active subscriptions. Their subscription is managed by Google and cannot be cancelled or refunded from your dashboard.

Commission Structure

Your commission rate depends on how the customer subscribed:

RouteYour RateAt $4.99/mo
Customer uses your checkout link 55% of net ~$2.50

Checkout link breakdown: $4.99/month

Customer pays$4.99/month
Payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30)-$0.44
Net after fee$4.55
GreerGuard (45%)-$2.05
Your commission (55%)+$2.50/month
Commission Calculator

Processing fee is 2.9% + $0.30 (standard card rate). Your 55% commission is calculated on the net amount after this fee.

Commissions are credited automatically after each payment and appear immediately in your transaction history.

There is a minimum resell price of $1.99/month. You can charge customers any amount at or above this.

Packages

Packages let you offer multiple subscription tiers to your customers, each with its own seat count, price, and checkout link. Instead of a single price, customers can choose from a menu of plans you define, for example a single-device plan, a 3-device family plan, and a 5-device family plan.

Packages are optional. If you do not create any, your checkout link continues to show your single resell price as before.

Creating a Package

Open the Packages card in your dashboard. Fill in:

  • Label: the name customers see on the checkout page, for example "Single Device", "Family - 3 Devices", or "Business - 5 Devices".
  • Devices (seats): how many devices this package covers. Maximum 5.
  • Monthly price: what you charge customers. The minimum price scales with the number of seats: each seat must be at least $0.95/month above the processing floor, with an overall minimum of your resell price setting. The dashboard shows the minimum price as you change the seat count.

Click Add Package to save. The new package appears in the table immediately with its checkout link ready to copy.

Per-Package Checkout Links

Each package has a unique checkout link that pre-selects that tier on the checkout page. These links are shown in the Packages table. Copy the link for a specific package and share it directly with customers who should subscribe to that tier. If a customer visits your base checkout URL without a package link, they see all of your active packages and can choose one.

A customer who subscribes through a multi-seat package link receives an activation code that covers all of the seats in that package. The device that activates the code becomes the Family Plan host and can link additional devices up to the seat count purchased.

Editing and Removing Packages

Click Edit on any package row to update its label, seat count, or price. Click Remove to soft-delete a package: it disappears from your checkout page immediately. Existing subscriptions sold through that package are not affected.

Pricing Rules

Package prices follow the same floor rules as your single resell price:

  • Minimum price is your resell price setting, with a hard floor of $1.99/month.
  • Each additional seat beyond 1 adds a minimum of $0.95/month to the floor.
  • For example, a 3-seat package has a minimum price of approximately $3.89/month.

The dashboard enforces these floors automatically and shows a hint below the price field as you configure each package.

Admin PIN

Your Admin PIN is a 4-8 digit code that unlocks a hidden admin panel inside the customer's GreerGuard app. To open it, perform a specific swipe gesture on the main screen, then enter your PIN.

Gesture: Swipe Up → Down → Left → Right on the main screen. The PIN prompt will appear immediately after the final swipe.

The in-app admin panel lets you:

  • View the Device ID for this device (tap to copy)
  • See the current state of all forced settings pushed to that device
  • Toggle Quiet Hours on or off and configure the quiet hours window
  • Toggle IT History Mode, which controls whether the history log shows full detail or abbreviated descriptions
  • Tap Refresh Config to pull the latest partner configuration immediately without waiting for the next app open
Keep your PIN private. Do not share it with customers unless you intend them to access the admin panel.

Set or change your PIN in the Device Configuration section of your dashboard. Leave the field blank to keep the existing PIN.

Customer Subscription Management

From your dashboard you can look up and manage any customer's subscription directly, without involving the customer. This is useful for handling support requests, processing refunds, or cancelling subscriptions on a customer's behalf.

Looking Up a Customer

Go to the Customer Subscription Management card in your dashboard. Enter the customer's Device ID and click Look Up. The Device ID is visible in the in-app admin panel (accessible via the swipe gesture): ask the customer to open the admin panel and read or copy their Device ID.

The lookup shows the subscription status, resell price, next renewal date, and Stripe subscription ID. Only subscriptions sold through your referral code are returned.

Cancel at Period End

Cancels the subscription at the end of the current billing period. The customer keeps access until then and is not charged again. No funds are moved.

Refund & Cancel

Issues an immediate full refund to the customer and cancels the subscription right away. Before the refund is processed, your dashboard shows you the exact fee breakdown and requires you to check a confirmation box.

Refund fee: When you issue a refund, the following is deducted from your balance:
  • Your commission earned on that payment (the 55% you received)
  • The non-refundable payment processing fee that cannot be recovered
The exact amounts are shown in the confirmation before you commit.

Chargeback & Force-Cancel Protection

GreerGuard automatically detects and responds to chargebacks and force-cancellations. You are notified by email whenever one of these events affects a subscription under your referral code.

Chargebacks (Customer Disputes)

When a customer files a chargeback with their bank, GreerGuard:

  1. Cancels the customer's subscription immediately
  2. Deducts your commission for that payment from your balance
  3. Deducts a $15.00 dispute processing fee from your balance

If the dispute is subsequently won (resolved in GreerGuard's favour), both the commission and the $15.00 fee are restored to your balance and you will receive another email confirming this.

The $15.00 dispute fee is charged immediately when a chargeback is filed: regardless of the eventual outcome. It is only refunded if the dispute is won.

Force-Cancellations (Fraud or Payment Failure)

If a subscription is force-cancelled by the payment processor due to suspected fraud, repeated payment failures, or other enforcement action:

  1. The subscription is marked inactive immediately
  2. Your commission for that sale is deducted from your balance

No additional dispute fee is charged for force-cancellations: only the commission is clawed back.

Purchase History

All chargeback penalties, force-cancel clawbacks, and dispute restorations appear in your Purchase History with clear labels so you can track exactly what happened and when.

App Features Reference

This section documents every feature in the GreerGuard app. Use it to support your customers, set expectations during onboarding, and make informed decisions about which features to show or hide through your Device Configuration settings.

GreerGuard has two tiers. Free features are available to all users at no cost and cannot be hidden by partners. GreerGuardian features require an active paid subscription. Several paid features can be individually hidden from your customers if they are not relevant to your use case.

Free Features

These features are included for all users and are always visible in the app. Partners cannot hide or disable them.

Manual Scan: Check My Apps
Scans every installed app for potentially unwanted behavior and returns a risk level and the specific reasons behind each finding. Customers can run this at any time from the home screen. No subscription required.
Risk Scoring
Every scanned app receives a Low, Medium, or High risk rating based on GreerGuard's suspicion scoring engine. The rating reflects the combination of permissions, behavior patterns, and install source for that app.
Interactive Demo - Scan Results

Each app in a scan result shows a risk level and the specific reasons it was flagged. Tap a result to see the detail view.

High Risk - serious threat
Medium Risk - warrants review
Low Risk - minor concern

Trust Apps
Customers can mark individual apps as safe. A trusted app is removed from scan results. Trust is revoked automatically if the app's risk tier rises after an update (for example, from Low to Medium or Medium to High). The customer is notified when this happens and the app reappears in the next scan.
Trust All Low-Risk
A batch trust button appears in scan results when one or more Low Risk apps are present. Tapping it trusts all Low Risk apps at once, saving customers from approving them individually.
Trusted Apps List
A dedicated screen listing every app the customer has trusted. Customers can search by name and remove individual apps from the trusted list at any time.
History Log
A filterable record of every security event on the device: app installs, threat flags, trust actions, permission changes, and uninstalls. Customers can filter by event type and use it to review past activity or investigate any concerns.
Home Screen Widget
A widget customers can add to their Android home screen. Shows protection status, the number of threats detected in the current month, and the date of the last scan. Tapping the widget opens the GreerGuard app directly.

Paid Features (GreerGuardian Subscription)

The following features require an active GreerGuardian subscription. They are available to all paying customers by default. Four of them (marked below) can be individually hidden from your customers via the Security Tools Visibility controls in your dashboard.

Background Monitoring Toggle Partner Controllable
The "Watch for threats automatically" toggle enables persistent background monitoring. When on, the app watches for new installs and permission changes in real time without the customer needing to run a manual scan. Partners can force this ON or OFF for all customers, or leave it as a customer choice. See Device Configuration for details.
Instant Threat Alerts Partner Controllable
When monitoring is active and a serious threat is detected, the app shows a full-screen lock-screen alert. For Medium Risk apps, a heads-up banner appears. Alert behavior is tied to the customer's alert level setting (or your forced level if you have set one). Each alert includes action buttons: Uninstall (removes the app), Review (opens GreerGuard for details), Trust (marks the app as safe), and Not Now (dismisses the alert). Customers can customize which buttons appear from the Alert Settings card in the Settings tab. Partners can restrict which buttons are available using the Notification Alert Buttons setting in Device Configuration.
Alert Sensitivity Slider Partner Controllable
Lets customers set their preferred alert sensitivity: Fewer Alerts (High Risk only), Balanced (Medium and High Risk), or More Alerts (all risk levels including Low Risk). Partners can force a specific level or hide the slider entirely so customers cannot change it. See the Hide Sensitivity Slider and Force Alert Sensitivity settings in Device Configuration.
My Report
A personal security summary showing 30-day and all-time stats: threats caught, permission changes detected, and apps removed. Helps customers see the value of GreerGuardian over time.
App Audit
A complete risk-scored list of every installed app on the device, not just the ones flagged in a scan. Customers can review the full picture of what is installed and sort or filter by risk level.
Device Health Check Can Be Hidden
Audits the device's own security configuration: screen lock, screen timeout, USB debugging, developer mode, storage encryption, and which apps have permission to install other apps. Each check includes a direct link to the relevant Android settings page. Hide this tool from your customers if it is not relevant to your deployment.
App Permissions Can Be Hidden
Lists every non-system app that holds a sensitive permission, grouped by permission type: camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, call log, usage stats, and draw-over-apps. Tapping an app goes directly to its Android permissions settings. Hide this tool if your customers do not need it.
Unofficial Apps Can Be Hidden
Finds apps installed from outside Google Play (sideloaded APKs, F-Droid, enterprise sources, etc.) and scores each one: Clean, Low Risk, Medium Risk, or High Risk. Scoring is based on GreerGuard's suspicion engine. Hide this tool if sideloading is expected or authorized in your environment.
Notification Spam History Can Be Hidden
Shows which apps sent 9 or more notifications in a single day at least once over the past 30 days, and how many such days each app had. Color-coded: green (1-4 spam days), amber (5-14 days), red (15 or more days). Hide this tool if notification volume is not a concern for your customers.
Automatic Weekly Background Scan
In addition to real-time monitoring, GreerGuardian runs a full scan of all installed apps once per week in the background, even if the customer has not opened the app. Results are available the next time the app is opened.
Monthly Security Report Notification
Once per month, customers receive a system notification with a summary of that month's security activity: threats detected, permission changes, and apps removed. Tapping the notification opens the My Report screen.
Notification Spam Real-Time Alert
When an app crosses the notification spam threshold (9 or more notifications in a single day) for the first time, the customer receives a real-time alert identifying the app. This is separate from the Notification Spam History screen.
Subscription Renewal Warning
Customers receive a notification before their next billing date as a renewal reminder. This helps reduce unexpected charges and associated support requests.
SafeSearch
A built-in DNS filter that blocks dangerous and harmful websites before a connection is made. Also routes searches through Google SafeSearch, automatically filtering harmful and explicit results across every browser and app - system-wide, not just within GreerGuard. Customers can toggle it on or off from the Tools tab. Blocked requests are shown in a log. Uses Android's VPN API entirely on-device: no traffic is routed through external servers and no websites visited are logged.
Family Plan
Available on multi-seat packages (2 to 5 seats). One device activates the code and becomes the host; other devices link to the host's subscription. The host can view the security status of all linked devices from the Family Devices screen in the Tools tab. Device statuses are color-coded: green (no threats), yellow/amber (low or medium risk items), red (high-risk threats). The host and each linked device can assign a display name to help identify it. If the host's subscription lapses, all linked devices revert to the free tier simultaneously. Linked devices use all GreerGuardian features normally; the host cannot see the specific app names flagged on other devices.
